Reinke going for an international championship with Rein Coat

Kurtis Kent, plant supervisor for Reinke's new ReinCoat
galvanizing plant, explains the galvanizing process to U.S.
Congressman Adrian Smith, U.S. Senate candidate Deb
Fischer and Gov. Dave Heineman during a tour of the
galvanizing expansion following the ribbon cutting ceremony
Thursday afternoon in Deshler.

DESHLER — Standing in front of 30 Reinke Manufacturing Co. employees wearing red T-shirts, Gov. Dave Heineman joked that his entourage was the Husker football team’s starting offense and defense and they would bring home a national championship.

Heineman was just one of the honored guests to speak at a ribbon cutting Thursday afternoon for Reinke’s 35,000-square-foot, ReinCoat galvanizing plant expansion. He was joined by fellow Republicans U.S. Rep. Adrian Smith and state Sen. Deb Fischer, now a U.S. Senate candidate.

Half of the red-shirt employees now work in the ReinCoat plant, which Reinke President Chris Roth said should employ 30 people within six months.
