Eleven people have been arrested and charged as the result of a 15-month drug sting by the Hastings Police Department and cooperating agencies.
According to Adams County Court records, arrest warrants were issued for most of the indivudals Tuesday and they were arraigned in court Wednesday afternoon.
On June 6, 2011, a citizen informant told police one of the suspects, Glenn Brown, was selling marijuana and pills, and the informant was willing to introduce an undercover officer to Brown.
With the help of the informant, an undercover officer and HPD Officer Brian Hessler used listening devices and video as they met and purchased drugs from the 11 suspects at houses and apartments around Hastings over the next year.
Several other officers also participated in the undercover deals.
Purchases in January took place on the north playground at Alcott Elementary School and at Brickyard Park. Two March drug deals took place outside Russ's Market and in Heartwell Park.
Drugs sold include cocaine, Quetiapine pills, Conazepam pills, Guanfacine, marijuana, Molly pills, Hydrocodone, codeine and promethazine.
