Chief finalists to be interviewed
The committee charged with recommending Hastings' next police chief will interview the candidates on Monday and Tuesday.
The interview committee is made up of Mayor Vern Powers, City Administrator Joe Patterson, two Hastings City Council members, representatives from the schools and hospital and a former police chief.
Following each interview, the candidates will tour the community and police station before meeting with the public.
