Kenesaw boys qualify at D-3 district
ALMA — The Kenesaw boys finished second as a team with 33 points Thursday at the Class D, District 3 meet in Alma to qualify for state.
Both Kenesaw and Ord finished with 33 points, but because Ord’s Andrew Fields finished first (16:49) ahead of Kenesaw’s Lane Tibbs (17:49), the Chanticleers were awarded the team title.
The Blue Devils also had top-15 performances from Kole Kimle (5th, 18:10) and Jeremiah Panec (9th, 18:21).
Doniphan-Trumbull’s Blake Ballard finished eigth in 18:20, while Blue Hill’s Jace Kranau was 10th in 18:33 — both qualifying as individuals for the state meet.
