Adams Central's Bill Carlin might not have liked the fact that his team trailed 6-2 at halftime of Friday night's game against Grand Island Central Catholic.
However, the veteran coach surely had to be pleased with the Patriots' response.
Class C-1 No. 2-rated (Omaha World-Herald) Adams Central outscored the No. 8 Crusaders 34-0 in the second half to lock up a district championship with a 36-6 home-field victory on Friday night. The Patriots outgained GICC 270-42 in total offense after the intermission.
